Mrs. Dessommes is quite possibly the best educator in her profession. She is able to engage her students in a way that is exciting and educational. It is clear that she is passionate about her craft and she soaks that passion into her students. She is a tough love kind of instructor but she is not wrong to demand respect, she deserves it.

Renee is an absolute gem of a human being. I took her Intro to Theater course during Wintermester at Collin College and my only regret was that the course was over far too quickly. Her lectures are amazing, feedback is solid, she is absolutely hilarious and learning about theater was effortless thanks to her. 10/10 Would learn about theater again.

I couldn't care less about theatre before taking this class, only took it because it was open and I needed more credit hours. However, this professor somehow still keeps me interested. She has just as much knowledge as the person who writes the textbook, and explains class content with many anecdotes from her experience in theatre. Overall cool.
